Mmm.
Great choice of classic cartoon music and style, great graphics and animation... man, I'm hungry for some breakfast now.

Fweh.
The art is good and the animation's VERY scant but alright.
To be rude, your friend sounds like the kind of socially maladjusted idiot who think he'll sweep a woman off her feet with flowers, candy, compliments and possibly a moonlight sonata. Showing this movie to some girl must've been the most awkward moment in her life and just another awkward moment in his.
I think it should pass judgement, but the story behind it is so sad - in an embarassing way - that if I were the one who made it, I certainly wouldn't want it to stay on. Meh, to each his own.
Excellent
I kinda zoned out here and there because the voice acting sounds a little bored sometimes, and the story seems like it'd be more interesting if I were an art student. But the style was great, original use of pixelated sprites and photo backgrounds, with the added zooms of CSI fame. And it was impressively long. I was going to vote 4 on account of quality, work and making sure it got a high score in the end, but then the extremely well-done Ghostbusters cartoon parody came up and I bolted for the vote 5 button.
Have mercy.
You have to wonder if it really is going to happen some day... I mean, eight friggin years. On the other hand, it's not like the Duke series is dead, with all the console games that've been released in the mean time. Still, the pressure on the DNF team, if it does, has or will exist, has to be enormous. Anything short of a game that will change the world will probably be laughed away by everyone as the Game That Took 8+ Years To Make. Well, I wonder.
Great animation, nice to see those first Dukes back. Fuck, John Stamos's wife is so hot. :(
Could use some tweaking
In my opinion it deserves to pass judgement, but you definitely have room for improvement. As far as I could tell, you made no use of motion tweening or looping Movie Clips, which could have really made things look more smooth AND cut down on the filesize. You'll want to learn to use those basic techniques, or if you already know them, learn to apply them to movies like these. On the other hand, if you can make a movie like this without those techniques, then you might have the talent to make some really great movies -with- them.
You've got great drawings...
...it's just too bad that there is, as you said, not so much animation. Maybe you could hook up with a good animator to co-produce movies? Or perhaps study on frame-by-frame animating, I believe there's some decent tutorials to be found on NG itself. A nice and stylish movie, but it would definitely rock exponentially more with good animation.
really cool
The animation and effects were a bit underdeveloped, and the sound on the two 'logo flipover' segments was really way too loud. But the art was solid and the impressions of the original Transformers were done excellently. And I was really happy to see this have a beginning and an end, whereas most artists would just animate a scene and then cut it off abruptly or add a 'to be continued' when the action's about to start, which they'd never honor anyway. Great job!
The logo flipover segment's volume has been turned down now.
